| Hi all! My name is Ed (just like the horse, but I don't eat hay), and I was born and
raised in Oakland, California. I am 28 years old, first-generation Pilipino-American.
Heightwise, I am 5' 5" and a half (let's not forget about the half since that counts
at rides at Disneyland). Since I am a light weight at 130 or so pounds, I am a lean, mean
fighting machine. In terms of education, I received my undergraduate degree from UCLA in Economics with a Specialization in Asian American Studies. Currently, I am a newbie tooth fairy or in other words the next dentist to the stars. I studied at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, and graduated on Father's Day of 1999. That day is my start to set the world on its end. As far as interests, they are far and varied. Musicwise, I enjoy the adult contemporary, high energy, R & B, modern rock, 80s, and musicals. My favorite singer is Celine Dion whose song hit the number one single with the title song in "The Titanic" way, way back in the day. Also, I love to shop, but more lately it has been of the window shopping type. So far Banana Republic clothing has peeked my interest with Kenneth Cole warming my little tootsies. One thing I can't seem to turn down is visiting the used clothing store and the flea market. Dan, my good friend and cohort, can attest to this very clearly. Traveling and sight seeing are other things that fascinates me. Although I haven't been to many places I am still interested with visiting new places and doing new things. One day my hope is to see the Seven Seas. Cooking is another of my fancies. Steadily, my cookbook collection has grown. Preferably, I cook Asian dishes such as Chinese, Pilipino, and Vietnamese. I still think that my calling after dental school is the cooking academy. Who knows? Anything is possible--that's how I see many things....it's not over till the fat lady sings. Unfortunately since I don't have any real means of transportation, I am stuck with my fresh olde BMW. For you non-Pilipinos, that is--Bike, Muni (bus), and Walk. I do bike everyday; at least travelling from my house to work. I also rollarblade, but lately I haven't been doing too much. My dream car right now is a sweet Porsche Boxster, which makes all other cars to shame. That might be a long time though before I get something with real wheels. In any case, the way I travel still allows me to see more nooks and crannies of the neighborhood. More and more, I still am in awe at what the world has to offer and where I stand in it. There are many things to see and to do. Like I may have hinted above, just give me time and a little money, and I will set my ship to sail and find my way. |
